Our animal family

Our animals are such a huge part of our family.  Right now we have 2 animals in the house.  We have a dog named Elizabeth and a cat named Emily.  Nolan, our son, named them after his two favorite baby sitters!  Which is super cute! :)  They get along like well....cats and dogs.  One minute they're wrestling with each other and the dog is barking at the cat and the cat is batting at the dog....the next minute they are sleeping together on the couch or in our bed together.  They are friends.

Right now it's winter so all the animals want to do is sleep!  Sleep, sleep and sleep.  They like to sit in bed with me and snooze while I work and watch TV.  They sleep....I work.

We had another dog, named Cooper, an English Springer Spaniel, who I blogged about in the past.  Cooper was the best dog and our first baby.  He died at the end of April after suffering several debilitating, horrible and excruciating seizures.  The vet thinks he had a brain tumor.  It came on fast and deteriorated him quickly, too. Such a sad, sad time.  We miss him terribly!  He will always be our first baby.  I miss his snuggles, kisses, his cold, wet nose and just everything about him.  He was a great dog!

Elizabeth is our other dog and she is a nut! She is a Cocker Spaniel and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix.  She's all black (with just a touch of white here and there) and such a beauty.  And such a lover.  She isn't much of a snuggler, but she likes to be any where we are.  She is very friendly and doesn't know a stranger!  She's a good pup!

Emily, our cat, is very aloof.  She is not a snuggler at all and likes to be on her own and alone....most of the time.  Lately she has been coming into our room when I/We lay in bed and she lays with me and the dog.  She still keeps her distance, but wants to be where we are.  She'll come around!

Someday when Elizabeth is a little older we plan to get another English Springer Spaniel like Cooper so she has a playmate in her older age.  We know she is what kept Cooper young those last few years.

So that's our animal farm.  Nothing too crazy, but they keep us hopping and happy!  We like having them around and they make life more interesting and enjoyable.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoying the view.

Until Next Time....
